Our December 2010 Championship show was a massive success. We had moved venue to the Kennel Club building at Stoneleigh and everyone seemed to agree that the way we used the hall was excellent - we provided benching, white picket fencing and outstanding matting for the floor. We had an excellent entry for the show. The pictures give you a flavour of the day |

In the Summer the parent club attended an enjoyable inter-club match with its branch in Oxford, but was this time on the end of a resounding, but good humoured defeat! |
|
2010 has been a successful year so far for local dogs. New champions Ch Lichdel Uncle Silas to Winuwuk and Ch Rebkai Tale of Love for Winuwuk got made up and won group placings. Ch Winuwuk Lust at First Sight was Top Boxer, Number 2 Working dog and Number 7 all breeds at the half way stage. RCCs have been won by Sugarwood Mystik Flame, Winuwuk Enzo Ferrari and Jimbren Romance in the Dark at Galicar. Remember, other members who want their wins recorded here should get in touch with the secretary. |

It was great to celebrate our 30th anniversary Championship show in December. Everyone agreed that there was a superb atmosphere all day. Club President Marion Ward-Davies had knitted a mountain of bobble hats for the exhibitors lucky enough to place in the large classes and these were modelled all day. We had a free bar, a special celebratory cake, free pens and a real Christmas feel. Instead of Christmas cards, we had a box where people could donate money to our chosen charity in support of prostate cancer. Jonny Boardman had grown a silly moustache to support the cause and we raised over £400. We feel that or 2010 Championship was one of our best ever. The photos give you a good idea of the day |

Recently Club member Tracey Brian took part in the 21 mile walk up and down the five Stroud valleys in aid of the Meningitis Trust. She was accompanied on all of it by her Boxers and on some of it by her five year old son Dylan and husband Chris. What a great achievement for all of them, especially young Dylan who managed 9 miles! |
|

We were pleased to entertain the South Western Boxer Club to a return inter-club match on our regular match night in June. We had won the first Event down with the South Western guys in 2007, but there must be an 'away' advantage with these events since (in a tight contest) the opposition won this time.
