2020 was a year of almost no shows due to Covid but we did manage to have a very safe match in the field at Winuwuk Cottage which Alan Hedges kindly judged

Our 2014 championship show was our 35th anniversary and we welcomed the famous US professional handler Diego Garcia as our judge to do both sexes. He had a fantastic entry and although he did both sexes, the early 8.30 start meant that everything was finished by 4pm.

Just before Christmas 2011 members and committee gathered at the Stagecoach Pub for a sociable dinner.  It was a great night.
Xmas 2011
We held our 2011 Championship Show on the first Saturday in December and our two judges Goran Bodegard from Sweden and our own Kevin Young were rewarded with the biggest Boxer entry of the year - a massive 257, including 24 in Open Dog. It was a super day, enjoyed by all and the photos give you a flavour of the day

Our December 2010 Championship show was a massive success.  We had moved venue to the Kennel Club building at Stoneleigh and everyone seemed to agree that the way we used the hall was excellent - we provided benching, white picket fencing and outstanding matting for the floor.  We had an excellent entry for the show.  The pictures give you a flavour of the day

In the Summer the parent club attended an enjoyable inter-club match with its branch in Oxford, but was this time on the end of a resounding, but good humoured defeat!

2010 has been a successful year so far for local dogs. New champions Ch Lichdel Uncle Silas to Winuwuk and Ch Rebkai Tale of Love for Winuwuk got made up and won group placings. Ch Winuwuk Lust at First Sight was Top Boxer, Number 2 Working dog and Number 7 all breeds at the half way stage. RCCs have been won by Sugarwood Mystik Flame, Winuwuk Enzo Ferrari and Jimbren Romance in the Dark at Galicar. Remember, other members who want their wins recorded here should get in touch with the secretary.

It was great to celebrate our 30th anniversary Championship show in December. Everyone agreed that there was a superb atmosphere all day. Club President Marion Ward-Davies had knitted a mountain of bobble hats for the exhibitors lucky enough to place in the large classes and these were modelled all day. We had a free bar, a special celebratory cake, free pens and a real Christmas feel. Instead of Christmas cards, we had a box where people could donate money to our chosen charity in support of prostate cancer. Jonny Boardman had grown a silly moustache to support the cause and we raised over £400. We feel that or 2010 Championship was one of our best ever. The photos give you a good idea of the day

Recently Club member Tracey Brian took part in the 21 mile walk up and down the five Stroud valleys in aid of the Meningitis Trust. She was accompanied on all of it by her Boxers and on some of it by her five year old son Dylan and husband Chris. What a great achievement for all of them, especially young Dylan who managed 9 miles!

On 8 July we hosted a match at Whitminster against our Oxford Branch.  It was a wonderful evening with over 50 dogs present and competing meaning that the judging didn't finish until gone 10.30pm  Val Pack-Davison judged and it was a victory for the hosts.  Best in Match went to Steve Hare and Brenda Groves' Sandcliffe Kiss of Life for Jimbren, Best Novice was Maggie Knight's Sarsbrook Hot Off the Press, Best Puppy Winuwuk Rock Chick and Best Baby was Jimbren Deano's Beano.

At the Boxer Event we were thrilled when our 2008 Championship Show was voted as the country's FAVOURITE SHOW of 2008 by all the members of the British Boxer Club. We were presented with a Boscar in recognition of this and almost all the Committee were present to collect it on the Club's behalf from David Spencer. We have been nominated in this category on a couple of previous occasions but it was great to win
With all the 2008 Championship Shows now complete it is wonderful to be able to record that both the 2008 Top Boxer and the Top Bitch both come from our Club. Top Boxer is Team Winuwuk's Ch Winuwuk Lust at First Sight and Top Bitch is Sam Cant's Ch Mananin Analyse That, both of whom live within a about 5 miles of each other in Gloucestershire!

We were pleased to entertain the South Western Boxer Club to a return inter-club match on our regular match night in June. We had won the first Event down with the South Western guys in 2007, but there must be an 'away' advantage with these events since (in a tight contest) the opposition won this time. The South Western won Baby Puppy, Best Adult and Best in Match while the Cotswold won Novice and Puppy.
